Nigeria is hurting.

Millions of citizens are poorer than they were a few years ago. The cost of living keeps rising while incomes stay flat. Basic amenities are absent or unreliable. New tax policies feel like punishment rather than reform. Respect for the rule of law is weakening, and trust in leadership is dangerously low.

This is not sustainable.

As we look toward the 2027 presidential election, Nigerians are searching for a credible path forward. One that puts competence, integrity, and national interest above personal ambition.

The emerging coalition under the ADC presents a real opportunity to reset the country’s direction. But that opportunity will only count if the coalition leaders choose unity over ego and sacrifice over self interest.

This appeal is directed to His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.

Sir, your experience, influence, and political capital are undeniable. You hold a critical key in this moment. How that key is used will define not just the outcome of an election, but how history remembers your role in Nigeria’s journey.

We respectfully appeal that you support Peter Obi as the presidential flag bearer of the ADC for the 2027 election.

This appeal is not rooted in sentiment. It is rooted in strategy, credibility, and the urgent need to present a candidate who can unite broad segments of the population, restore confidence in governance, and inspire both voters and non voters to participate again.

However, allowing Peter Obi to carry the ticket alone is not enough.

This appeal also calls for your full and visible commitment to his success. This means active involvement in mobilization, coalition building, political strategy, and nationwide engagement. Anything less would weaken the very goal this sacrifice is meant to achieve.

By choosing this path, you would be remembered not only as a contender, but as a statesman who placed Nigeria above self. History would record that when the country stood at a crossroads, you chose unity over ambition and opened the door for a new chapter.

We are calling on one million Nigerians to add their voices to this appeal. Not as a protest, but as a clear signal that the people are ready for leadership that puts the country first.
