JULY 11, 2026 Theo Got His Day! 💙 Thank You, Mayor Matheson

We are still overwhelmed with gratitude to Mayor Scott James Matheson and the City of Valdosta for officially proclaiming July 11th as Theo Stoner Day.
Yes — Theo has his own day! 💙
What an incredible and emotional surprise for our family. Mayor Matheson not only honored Theo with this very special proclamation, but also surprised us with a City of Valdosta coin, something we will always treasure.
More than anything, we are grateful for the way Mayor Matheson treated Theo and our entire family. He made us feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated. After everything it took to get to this moment, having our city recognize Theo in such a meaningful way meant more to us than we can possibly put into words.
Theo’s story has always been about more than one graduation. It is about inclusion, dignity, perseverance, and making sure people with disabilities are seen and given the opportunity to experience the milestones they have earned.
July 11th will forever be Theo Stoner Day in Valdosta, Georgia and our family could not be more proud.
Thank you, Mayor Matheson, for giving Theo and our family a memory we will carry with us forever. 💙
