自衛隊は国民国家の為に存在し、憲法や法律を忠実に守ることが求められます。それにもかかわらず、先日行われた自民党大会において、自衛隊員が制服姿で国歌を斉唱した件について、荒井陸幕長は「職務ではなく私人として依頼を受けた」と発言しました。彼のこの発言は、自衛隊幹部としての資質を大いに疑わせるものであり、自衛隊法や憲法についての理解が乏しく、あるいは政権への忖度があることを示唆しています。

自衛隊がこの国の安全と独立のために働いていることは事実です。しかし、その活動が国家の法に基づいていなければ、国民の信頼を失いかねません。法の遵守は自衛隊にとって何よりも重要であり、それを軽視するような発言は看過できません。

また、制服姿での国歌の斉唱という行動そのものについても、職務としての自衛隊活動と私人としての活動の境界を曖昧にし、国民の誤解を招く可能性があります。このような事態を放置すれば、自衛隊全体の信用にも影響が及ぶのです。

したがって、荒井陸幕長の早急な解任を要求します。国家のために働く者は、国法を遵守し、国民の信頼を得る存在でなければなりません。不適切な対応があれば、即座に是正されるべきです。どうか、国民と自衛隊双方のために、この請願にご賛同ください。

Purpose of the Signature Campaign

The Self-Defense Forces (SDF) exist for the sake of the nation-state and are required to faithfully uphold the Constitution and laws. Despite this, at the recent Liberal Democratic Party convention, SDF personnel sang the national anthem in uniform. General Arai, Chief of Staff of the Ground Self-Defense Force, stated that they "received the request as private individuals, not as part of their duties." This statement raises serious doubts about his qualifications as an SDF officer and suggests a lack of understanding of the SDF Law and the Constitution, or perhaps a desire to curry favor with the government.

It is true that the SDF works for the security and independence of this country. However, if their activities are not based on national law, they risk losing the trust of the people. Adherence to the law is paramount for the SDF, and statements that disregard this cannot be overlooked.

Furthermore, the act of singing the national anthem in uniform itself blurs the line between official SDF activities and private activities, potentially leading to public misunderstanding. Leaving such a situation unaddressed will affect the credibility of the entire SDF.

 Therefore, we demand the immediate dismissal of Chief of Staff Arai of the Ground Self-Defense Force. Those who work for the nation must abide by national laws and earn the trust of the people.
