私たち署名者は以下を要求します。
* Link Interac（リンクアンドモチベーション）は、すべてのフルタイムALT（Assistant Language Teacher - 外国語指導助手）の給与を、1年分に当たり、12ヶ月間、月額25万円に即時引き上げる。
* 全国のリンクインタラックのALTの平均給与は、税引前で月215,000円、年間10ヶ月分である。春の3月と4月は日割り計算となり、ALTの給料はかなり低くなってしまう。札幌などでは、日割り計算で月に5万円程度になることもある。
* 2022年4月までに、すべてのALTを社会保険に加入させる。
* すべてのALTが、法律で定められたすべての有給休暇をすぐに自由に使えるようにする。
日本最大の民間ALT（NON-JET）派遣会社でリンクインタラックは、日本最大の民間ALT派遣会社で、全国の小・中・高等学校の日本人英語教師をサポートする3,000人以上のネイティブの英語教師を雇用しています。
リンクインタラックの給与が低いため、ほとんどのALTは、自分と家族の健康で安全な生活を確保するために、1日7.5時間のスケジュールに加えて、さらにパートタイムの仕事をしなければなりません。ALTがアルバイトをしなければならないということは、ALTの過労を招き、生徒の教育の質やALTの生活の質に悪影響を及ぼします。日本の多くの教育委員会は、リンクインタラックと契約してALTを学校に派遣しています。
日本の子供たちの生活と教育を豊かにするために納税者の資金がリンクインタラックに提供されていますが、ALTたちはリンクインターックがALTが提供できる教育の質を向上させるために十分な時間と資金をちゃんと投入していないと考えています。
教育委員会は、ALTの労働条件を改善するよう求められていますがが、多くの教育委員会は、ALTの労働条件を改善するのはリンクインタラックの責任であり、自分たちの責任ではないという姿勢を貫いています。 したがって、納税者は民間のALT派遣会社を利用しても、投資効果が得られません。生徒、日本人教師、ALTが苦しみ、リンクインタラックだけが得をします。
また、リンクインタラックのALTの給料が低いため、日本の学校ではALTの離職率が高くなっています。学校のスタッフに不必要なストレスと失望を与え、生徒にも混乱と失望を与えてしまいます。ある学校では、1年間に4人ものALTが交代で勤務していることもあります。多くのALTは、他の仕事でより安定した収入を得るためにリンクインタラックを早期に退社せざるを得ず、しばしば予定より早く帰国してしまいます。これも学校のスタッフ、生徒、ALTが苦しむ原因になります。
低賃金に加え、追加収入を求めるストレスにより、多くのALTが精神的に不調をきたしています。以前、このようなことを会社に報告しても、ALTへのサポートはほとんどなく、ALTは孤立して意気消沈してしまったことがありました。
リンクインタラク（リンクアンドモチベーション）は、ALTの法定有給休暇の50％を取り、ALT本人と相談することなく、リンクインタラックが望む日を年間でスケジュールしています。
リンクインタラックは、ALT従業員の有給休暇の取得に関する日本の労働法に違反する可能性があります。そのため、生徒や学校のスタッフを支援するために頑張っているALTは、有給休暇が少なくなることで、さらなるストレスを抱えることになります。ただでさえ低い給料なのに、休日が50％も減るとなると、ALTは病欠を取りづらくなります。多くのALTは、「病気になるお金と安定の余裕がない」と感じています。コロナ禍の際には特に困難を極めました。
北海道ALT労働組合は、過去1.5年間、リンクインタラックの要求を獲得するために懸命に努力してきましたが、残念ながらほとんど進歩していません。
生徒、学校の先生、そしてALTにとって、より良い安全な環境を作るためには、リンクインタラックのALTの給与を直ちに引き上げ、すべてのALTに社会保険に加入させ、すべてのALTが自由に有給休暇を取得できるようにすることが非常に重要です。

-The average salary of Link Interac ALTs nationwide is ¥215,000 yen a month before tax, which is 10 months a year. March and April are prorated so ALT salaries are quite low during those months. In Sapporo and other places, it can be as low as ¥50,000 yen a month during March and April.
* Enroll all ALTs in social insurance by April 2022.
* Allow all ALTs to immediately freely use all paid leave days as allowed by law.
Link Interac, Japan's largest private ALT (NON-JET) dispatch company, employs more than 3,000 native English teachers supporting Japanese English teachers in elementary, junior high and high schools nationwide. Due to the low salary from Link Interac and to ensure a healthy and safe life for themselves and their families, most ALTs have to take on part-time work in addition to their 7.5 hour daily teaching schedule. The fact that ALTs have to work additional part-time jobs leads to overwork of ALTs, which adversely affects the quality of education of students and the quality of life of ALTs. Many Japanese Boards of Education have contracted with Link Interac to send ALTs to schools. Taxpayer funding is provided to Link Interac to enrich the lives and education of Japanese children, yet ALTs believe Link Interac is not investing enough time and money to improve the quality of education that its ALTs could offer. Boards of Education have been asked to help improve ALTs’ working conditions yet Boards of Education maintain a stance that it is Link Interac’s responsibility to improve ALTs’ working conditions and not theirs.Thus tax payers are not getting a good return on investment from using private ALT dispatch companies. Students, Japanese teachers and ALTs suffer. Only Link Interac benefits. Also, due to the low salary of ALTs at Link Interac, the turnover rate of ALTs is high in Japanese schools. It causes unnecessary stress and disappointment for school staff and confusion and disappointment for students. In some schools as many as 4 different ALTs have rotated through the school during a year. Many ALTs are forced to leave Link Interac early to earn a more stable income from other jobs and often return to their home countries earlier than planned. This also causes school staff, students and ALTs to suffer. In addition to low wages, the stress of seeking additional income has caused many ALTs to become even more stressed. In the past, when this was reported to the company, there was little support for the ALT, and the ALT was sometimes isolated and depressed. Link and Motivation takes 50% of ALT's statutory paid leave and schedules the days Link and Motivation desires annually without consulting with the ALTs. Link Interac may be violating a Japanese labor law regarding the legal use of employees paid holidays. As a result, ALTs working hard to support their students and school staff are even more stressed out by the reduced paid leave. Due to the already low salary, the loss of %50 of ALTs’ paid holidays makes ALTs uncomfortable about taking sick days. Many ALTs feel that they can not afford to be sick. It has been extremely difficult during the corona pandemic. The Hokkaido ALT Labor Union has been working hard for the past 1.5 years to win these demands from Link Interac, but unfortunately little progress has been made. To create a better and safer environment for students, school teachers, and ALTs, let’s immediately raise the salary of Link Interac ALTs, enroll all ALTs in social insurance, and allow all ALTs to take paid leave freely.
