１月１１日の木曜日の NHK 身体拘束スペシャルが放送しました。ケリーとほぼ同じケースが発表されました。躁状態で入院。看護記録によると暴れていなかったにもかかわらず一週間連続拘束後、エコノミークラス症候群で死亡。ケリーと違って、病理解剖では血栓の証拠がちゃんと見つかった。それにもかかわらず病院がすべての責任を否定。何人が同じように亡くなっているでしょうか？ On Thursday 11 January NHK ran another special on body restraints. A case very similar to Kelly’s was discussed in which a patient was held in restraints in a psychiatric hospital for a week even though the nurse’s records said that she was calm. After the week, she died of economy class syndrome. In spite of having autopsy results proving the blood clot was the cause of the death, the hospital continues to deny responsibility. How many more people have died this same way, and will die in the future if things don’t change?
