代々木公園の樹木剪定計画を早い段階からSNSに投稿された川口真央様からの報告です：「本日２５日夕方、代々木公園を一周してきました。書き換えられたという「樹木剪定のお知らせ」が計画図とともに全て無くなっていました。一部は剪定されておりましたが、かつて計画図に書かれていたもののほとんどは無傷のままです。まさか「お知らせ」をなくしてから剪定するという事はないと思います。広場は未だ立ち入る事はできないので芝生の緑がきれいです。広場で工事をする事自体止めて、早く一般に開放すべきです。」
３日間の予定であった樹木剪定が２日で終わり、剪定計画も限られた範囲で行われていたことを考えると、皆様と共に声を上げたことも効果的だったと思われます。これは勝利だと考えても良いと思います。
しかしながら「パブリックビューイングのためのライブサイトを計画通りに作るか否か」という問題は未だに残っています。この計画が予定通りに実施されれば、代々木公園の環境に良くない影響を与えるかもしれません。そして、一般市民の公園の利用が大きく制限される可能性は高いと思われます。何よりも、コロナ禍の中で何千人もの人集まる場所を作るべきではないと考えます。建設開催日は６月１日と発表されており、あまり時間がない状況は依然として変わっておりません。
神薗まちこ渋谷区議会議員が２５日の夜にTwitterに以下のように発言されました：「代々木公園でのライブサイト計画に対して中止もしくは大規模縮小を要望、それを踏まえて中央広場の制限を3月の緊急事態宣言下から続く利用制限を早々に解除し、その結果必要のない目的で樹木剪定をしないでほしいと意見を都議を通じて、都へ相談しています。」
橋本聖子公益財団法人東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会組織委員会が２５日以下のように発言されました：「パブリック・ビューイングでありますけれども、やはりこれからの皆様方のご意見というものもコロナの中であるこそ貴重な意見としてお聞きする必要があるのではないかというふうに私が受け止めておりまして、理解が頂けるような対策と言うものが必要というように思っております。

Report late yesterday from Mao Kawaguchi, who was one of the people who first posted about the tree pruning plan for Yoyogi Park on social media: "I took a lap around Yoyogi Park this evening, the 25th. The revised "Tree Pruning Notice" and that had been posted were no longer there. Some of the trees had been pruned, but most of the trees that were marked for pruning on the plan had not been touched. I don't think they will do any more pruning now that the notice is gone. The central plaza is still inaccessible and the grass is still green and beautiful. They should stop plans for construction work in the plaza itself and open it to the public as soon as possible.”
Considering the fact that the tree trimming was scheduled for three days and was reduced to just two, and that the pruning curtailed from the original plan, it appears that speaking out together with everyone was effective. I think we can consider this a victory.
However, the question of whether or not to build a Live Site for public viewing of the Olympics as planned still remains. If it is built as planned, it may have a negative impact on the environment of Yoyogi Park. And it is highly likely that the use of the park by the general public will be greatly restricted as a result. Above all, a place where thousands of people gather should not be built in the middle of a pandemic. The commencement of construction has been announced as June 1, so the situation is still the same – there is not much time left.
