『リック・アンド・モーティ（原題：Rick and Morty）』はCARTOON NETWORKのAdult Swimにて2013年12月から放送開始したアメリカのテレビアニメです。

2025年現在、日本ではU-NEXTでシーズン1〜8、Netflixでシーズン1～7が配信されています。ただし、シーズン4以降の日本語吹替版は存在しません。シーズン4の配信から5年以上が経過していますが、日本語吹替版が追加される兆しは今のところありません。

日本語吹替版の『リック・アンド・モーティ』が好きで、当該シーズンの配信を楽しみにしていた人にとっては、非常に残念な状況です。

一方で、Adult Swimの公式Youtubeチャンネルでは2020年以降日本のアニメ制作会社によって作られたスピンオフアニメが複数公開されており、そちらでは日本語吹替版のキャストが「吹替」ではなく「オリジナル」として出演されています。これにより日本版リック・アンド・モーティは多くの海外ファンに周知されました。

本家英語版が素晴らしい事も、字幕が良いという方がいる事も重々承知しています。しかし、私がここまで『リック・アンド・モーティ』に夢中になれた要因のひとつが日本語吹替版の存在なのです。

日本語吹替版にはあれほど魅力的な声優陣が揃っているのにここで終わりにしてしまって良いのか？もしかしたら私と同じ気持ちの人がいるかもしれない、という一心で今回のキャンペーンを立ち上げさせていただきました。

On the other hand, since 2020, several spin-off animations produced by Japanese animation studios have been released on Adult Swim’s official YouTube channel, featuring the Japanese dub cast not as a “dub,” but as the “original” voice cast. As a result, the Japanese version of Rick and Morty has become well known among many international fans.

I believe that the Japanese dubbed version is essential to further increase the recognition of Rick and Morty in Japan in anticipation of the upcoming new seasons.

I’m fully aware that the original English version is excellent and that some people prefer the subtitles. However, one of the reasons I was able to become so deeply obsessed with Rick and Morty is because of the Japanese dubbed version.

The Japanese dubbed version features such an incredible cast of voice actors—can we really let it end here? With the hope that there might be others who feel the same way I do, I decided to launch this campaign.
