پشتیبانی از بیانیه‌ی ۱۷ کنشگر سیاسی و مدنی: گذار مسالمت‌آمیز به دموکراسی یک ضرورت انکارناپذیر برای آینده‌ی ایران

ما امضاکنندگان این بیانیه‌ی پیشتیبانی، به‌عنوان شهروندان ایران و حامیان حقوق بشر، از همه می‌خواهیم تا از بیانیه‌ی ۱۷ کنشگر سیاسی و مدنی حمایت کنند که جنبش بزرگ مقاومت مدنی مردم ایران با تسخیر خیابان‌ها، اراده‌ی ملی برای برکناری نظام نامشروع جمهوری اسلامی را فریاد می‌کند. 

متن بیانیه 17کنشگر سیاسی و مدنی از قرار زیر است:

هم‌میهنان آزاده،

امروز ایران در بزنگاهی سرنوشت‌ساز ایستاده است. جمهوری اسلامی، پس از دهه‌ها اتلاف و نابودی سرمایه‌های ملی در مسیر سیاست‌های ماجراجویانه و ورشکسته‌ی خود، تورم، فقر، ناامنی، فساد و بی‌عدالتی را به ابزار سرکوب و وسیله‌ای برای فرسایش و تحقیر مردم بدل کرده است.

با این همه، بار دیگر جنبش بزرگ مقاومت مدنی مردم ایران با تسخیر خیابان‌ها، اراده‌ی ملی برای برکناری نظام نامشروع جمهوری اسلامی را فریاد می‌کند.

ما در کنار مردم ایستاده‌ایم تا حق زندگی شایسته، آزادی، عدالت، کرامت انسانی و حاکمیت بر سرنوشت خویش را بازپس بگیریم.

ما به نیروهای انتظامی و امنیتی هشدار می‌دهیم که به مسئولیت واقعی خود ــ حفاظت از جان و امنیت مردم ایران ــ پایبند باشند؛ نه اجرای فرمان سرکوب، نه ایستادن در برابر ملت، و نه ریختن خون شهروندان بی‌دفاع. هرگونه خشونت علیه مردم، مشارکت مستقیم در جنایتی است که در حافظه‌ی تاریخی این سرزمین ثبت خواهد شد. امروز زمان انتخاب است: کنار ملت بایستید و صف خود را از سرکوبگرانی که رفتنی‌اند و باید پاسخ‌گو باشند، جدا کنید.

ما بار دیگر تأکید می‌کنیم که تنها راه نجات ایران، گذار از جمهوری اسلامی است؛ خواسته‌ای که نه موقتی است و نه قابل سرکوب.

آینده‌ی ایران بر نظمی دموکراتیک، مبتنی بر حاکمیت مردم، منافع ملی و روابط عادی با همه‌ی کشورهای جهان استوار خواهد بود.

ما امضاکنندگان این بیانیه‌ی پیشتیبانی نیز باور داریم که  گذار از جمهوری اسلامی باید از مسیر کنش مسالمت‌آمیز و مدنی باشد.  خشونت، چه از سوی حکومت و چه از سوی معترضان، به بن‌بست می‌انجامد و باعث تشدید سرکوب می‌شود.  توان و اراده‌ی مردم ایران برای گذار قابل‌سرکوب نیست و باید به رسمیت شناخته شود. 

حمایت از این بیانیه می‌تواند پایگاه اجتماعی خواست گذار مسالمت آمیز و سامان مند را اندازه‌گیری کند و به افزایش جسارت و مشارکت همگانی کمک کند. امضای این بیانیه‌ی پیشتیبانی، نشانه‌ی همبستگی با مردم ایران و با ارزش‌های آزادی، عدالت، و حقوق بشر است.

به‌دنبال راه‌حل‌های مسالمت‌آمیز باشیم و از همه ابزارهای قانونی و مدنی برای تحقق آن استفاده کنیم.

In Support of the Statement by 17 Political and Civil Activists:
A Peaceful Transition to Democracy Is an Unavoidable Necessity for Iran’s Future

We, the undersigned supporters of this statement, as citizens of Iran and advocates of human rights, call on everyone to support the declaration issued by 17 political and civil activists. This declaration reflects the great civil resistance movement of the Iranian people, who—by taking over the streets—are voicing the national will to remove the illegitimate Islamic Republic regime.

The text of the statement by the 17 political and civil activists is as follows:

The great movement of civil resistance by the people of Iran, by taking over the streets, is proclaiming the national will to remove the illegitimate regime of the Islamic Republic.
Free compatriots,

Today, Iran stands at a decisive and fateful crossroads. After decades of squandering and destroying national resources in pursuit of its adventurist and bankrupt policies, the Islamic Republic has turned inflation, poverty, insecurity, corruption, and injustice into tools of repression and means to wear down and humiliate the people.

Yet once again, the great movement of civil resistance by the people of Iran, by taking over the streets, is proclaiming the national will to remove the illegitimate regime of the Islamic Republic.

We stand with the people to reclaim the right to a dignified life, freedom, justice, human dignity, and sovereignty over our own destiny.

We warn the law-enforcement and security forces to remain faithful to their true responsibility—protecting the lives and security of the people of Iran; not carrying out orders of repression, not standing against the nation, and not shedding the blood of defenseless citizens. Any violence against the people constitutes direct participation in a crime that will be recorded in the historical memory of this land. Today is a time for choice: stand with the nation and separate your ranks from the repressors who are on their way out and must be held accountable.

We reaffirm once more that the only path to saving Iran is a transition away from the Islamic Republic—a demand that is neither temporary nor suppressible.
The future of Iran will rest on a democratic order grounded in popular sovereignty, national interests, and normal relations with all countries of the world.

We, the undersigned supporters of this statement, also believe that the transition away from the Islamic Republic must occur through peaceful and civil action. Violence—whether by the state or by protesters—leads to deadlock and intensifies repression. The power and will of the Iranian people to achieve this transition are not suppressible and must be recognised.

Supporting this statement can help measure the social base of the demand for a peaceful and organised transition and contribute to increasing collective courage and participation. Signing this supporting statement is an expression of solidarity with the people of Iran and with the values of freedom, justice, and human rights.

Let us pursue peaceful solutions and make use of all legal and civil tools to realise them.
