The Kurdish people, with a population of over 30 million across several countries, have a rich history, distinct culture, and their own recognized flag — the red, white, green tricolor with a golden sun in the center.

However, in the digital world, there is no official **Kurdistan flag emoji**. This absence silences a large part of Kurdish identity and prevents millions from expressing their pride through one of the most basic digital symbols: the emoji.

Many regions and entities — including Palestine (🇵🇸) and Kosovo (🇽🇰) — have been granted flag emojis, even without full UN recognition. The Kurdish people deserve the same respect and visibility.

We are calling on **the Unicode Consortium** to add the Kurdistan flag emoji to the official emoji list.

This is not just about a symbol — it’s about recognition, cultural identity, and digital inclusion.
