I trust you are aware of the Women, Life, Freedom revolution ongoing in Iran over the past several days following the killing of 22 years-old #MahsaAmini in custody of the regime’s morality police. Women and men of large and small cities took it to the streets in peaceful protests seeking basic human rights and a normal life, and received brutal suppression from the regime’s forces. Today, armed Islamic Republic forces invaded Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology, shooting and beating the students and professors of one of the highest ranked science and technology universities in Iran. Hizbollah’s terrorist forces were also reported involved, who arrested hundreds of elite students and transferred them to unofficial prisons.

I wanted to ask for your and school’s support by any means possible involving the school and the University as a whole. From inviting students and other universities to stand in solidarity with their Iranian peers, to echoing the Iranians voice and engaging with relevant academic and political communities to provide meaningful support.

This is a historical moment in an Iranian Renaissance and I am sure Iranian alumni as well as other peace and freedom loving people of the world would appreciate the engagement and stance.
