Save the Lives of Human Right Activists Jailed in Iran

Reports received from Iran indicate that human rights activists are being incarcerated in inhumane and unsanitary conditions alongside common criminals at various prisons in Iran. Many have been detained without an indictment and kept in prison for months, while intelligence officers and prosecutors interrogate them and try to extract confessions.

At a time when Iran is gripped by the fifth surge of the Covid-19 pandemic, overcrowding, and lack of adequate access to hot water, cleaning supplies, face masks, testing, doctors, and medicine, incarceration is seriously endangering their lives.

We the undersigned plead with you to save the lives of human rights activists in Iran through international pressure on the Islamic Republic. Join us in supporting political prisoners and human rights activists detained in central prison of Karaj, Rajaei-Shahr, Gohardasht, Qarchak, Ghezel Hesar, Saar-Allah Sepah, Fardis, Evin, Fashafooyeh and Sepidar, Saqqez, and Orumiyeh.
