IN RUSSIA, HUNTING TIGERS, LIONS AND EVEN ELEPHANTS (!), AS WELL AS THEIR BREEDING AS FARM ANIMALS, HAVE BECOME A TYPE OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITY.

In the new "All-Russian classifier of products by types of economic activity", many wild hunting animals, including African ones (!), have been transferred to the category of agricultural resources (!).

In the lists of group A "Products of agriculture, forestry and fisheries", there is code 01.49.19.430 – "Lions, tigers, elephants and other wild animals". This means that lions, tigers, elephants and "others" (the word is not detailed!) can now be bred in private on farms and used both in hunting and farming, i.e. for having meat, skin and various products from their body parts ...

This activity is presented by the ideologists of "wild breeding" as a contribution to ensuring the food security of the country (!). And now it is not only presented, it has already been accepted by the state! This means that the state agrees that tigers and lions, and even elephants, can be shot in aviaries and that "useful" products can be got from them.

Any owner of wild animals that are  kept in his enclosure is now able to use them as he pleases (without observing the rules, hunting deadlines, without obtaining production quotas, production permits, etc.).

Lions are included in the CITES list, tigers are in Red book, many species of elephants are on the list of endangered animals.

How are we now different from Joe Exotic, traders selling the bodies of African animals and those who use predators’ body parts for medicine and “gourmet” food?

The perverted fantasies of "wild breeding" coupled with the state’s policy can surpass the scale of massacre in Ancient Rome…
