The Issue

Minnesota, we have a serious problem on our hands. A House Oversight report has revealed that senior officials in state government ignored severe fraud warnings, enabling questionable payments to continue unchecked. Why was this allowed to continue? Fear of political backlash. This is nothing but political cowardice, and as always, it's the taxpayers who are left footing the bill.

Minnesota taxpayers have potentially lost around $300 million to the notorious Feeding Our Future scandal. An estimated $9 billion in Medicaid billing might also be fraudulent, though denied by the Walz administration. Meanwhile, over 110 individuals have already been charged in various fraud schemes within our state. Despite these alarming figures, whistleblowers were reportedly met with retaliation for speaking up. This is not how a government should operate. Government’s paramount duty is to protect taxpayers, not shield itself from uncomfortable truths.

It's crucial that we demand accountability. Governor Tim Walz and his administration owe Minnesotans—and all taxpayers across the nation—a transparent explanation of what truly transpired. This can only be achieved through an independent investigation, free from any political influence, to uncover the depth of negligence and ensure necessary reforms.

Let's not allow fear of scrutiny and name-calling to stand in the way of justice and transparency. It’s time for us to hold our leaders accountable, ensuring such fraud never goes unchecked again. Sign this petition to demand a thorough independent investigation into this scandal, protect our hard-earned money, and restore integrity to Minnesota’s state governance. Join me in calling for real accountability and transparency. Let's ensure our government is working in the best interests of its people, not mired in deceit.
