We call upon the the Welsh Assembly Government to stop trying to bring in the monitoring of electively home educated children under the guise of safeguarding. Safeguarding and education are two separate issues and should remain so. Parents are legally responsible for children's education not the government.

Serious case reviews have shown that the authorities not elective home education have let children down.The government signed up to the rights of the child in 2004 which states that they will consult with children before changing things that effect them. They are not consulting our children who have already shown last year that they are against monitoring in a different consultation.
