The visa bond pilot scheme is racist and divisive as it specifically targets those coming from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ghana and Nigeria. It demands a £3,000 cash bond which will prevent families coming together at times of celebration; weddings and festivals, and will seperate familes at times of bereavement, funeral's and so on. It will exacerbate class tensions with those who can afford to pay such bond's and those who cannot. The rich will be able to see their families and come and go as they please, the poor will be divided. This scheme panders to an increasing atmosphere of immigrant phobia, and specifically penalises one section of society. We petition to stop this Visa Bond Scheme!
