Peter Capaldi is a Scottish actor and Glasgow School of Art alumni.  An established actor, director and screenwriter, Peter is perhaps best known for his role as Malcolm Tucker in the BBC series The Thick of It.  He has won an Academy Award for directing Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life, alongside two BAFTAs, two British Comedy Awards and a Chlotrudis award.  His next role is the twelfth incarnation of Doctor Who.  Our next Rector should be able to represent the interests of our student body. Born and educated in Glasgow before achieving continuous success in his chosen field, Peter represents our interests now, and what can be achieved in our future.
