For too long many politicians from both sides of Parliament have taken their expenses for granted and used them to subsidise their income.

They have claimed accommodation for going on charity bike rides, claimed travel to carry out private business, travelled to sporting events at the tax payers expense or established libraries when there was no need or claimed holiday accommodation.

We, the public, can shake our heads in amazement but unless we do something the politicians will continue to rort the system and get away with murder.

This is your chance to make a public statement calling on the Prime Minister to do something to bring politicians exenses into the same league as the normal traxpayer.

For this reason I call on on Tony Abbott take the necessary action to ensure that politicians have to meet the same requirements imposed on  "normal people's" expenses by the ATO.

I also call on the Prime Minister to strike out the Minchin Protocol and call for those who rort the system be charged with theft
