She earned her Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Teaching Social Studies from Simpson College. Wanda began her career as a teacher at Coronado Middle School, later teaching at Central Middle School and Argentine Middle School. Her commitment to education led her to serve as a board member for Kansas City USD 500 and Kansas City Public Schools. With a foundation in education from Wyandotte High School, Wanda has consistently demonstrated her passion for improving public education in Kansas. Her extensive experience as an educator and board member highlights her dedication to fostering academic excellence and community involvement.
