Tonya Anderson is a prominent political figure and community leader with an extensive background in both public service and education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Alabama State University, an MBA from Georgia State University, and a Master's in Divinity from Luther Rice College and Seminary. Additionally, she earned a Certificate in Leadership Development, Military and Strategic Leadership from Central Texas College. Anderson has served as a Chaplain Assistant and Logistics Specialist in the U.S. Air Force, and has been actively involved in local government as a Councilmember and Mayor of Lithonia, Georgia. She represented District 92 as a State Representative and currently serves as the State Senator for District 43 in the Georgia State Senate. Anderson is also an East Campus Pastor at Stronghold Christian Church and a Certified Life Coach through Dream Releaser Coaching.
