Ted Win-Ping Lieu is an accomplished American lawyer, Air Force officer, and politician, affiliated with the Democratic Party. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Lieu immigrated to the United States as a child and later graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Computer Science, followed by a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Since 2023, he has represented California's 36th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, following his service for the 33rd district from 2015 to 2023. Prior to Congress, Lieu served in the California State Assembly from 2005 to 2010, and the State Senate from 2011 to 2014.
