Susan Johnson is a Democratic Party politician serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 49th district, which includes part of Windham. She has been in office since January 2009, after being first elected in 2008. Johnson graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University and later attended the Western New England College School of Law, where she earned her law degree. Before entering politics, she worked as an advocate for Medicare beneficiaries at Connecticut Legal Services and the Center for Medicare Advocacy for nearly 20 years.
