Steve Unger is a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, serving District 19 since 2023. Born and raised in Springdale, he holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a master's degree in military science from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College. Unger retired as a U.S. Navy Captain after 32 years of service. He serves on the House Judiciary and Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development Committees. Unger is active in local volunteer work, including the Springdale Rotary Club and the American Legion. He is known for his conservative values and community engagement.
