Scott Duer is a member of the Altoona City Council, having been elected to his first term in December 2017. His current term is set to expire on December 31, 2025. Duer has lived in the Southeast Polk area for his entire life, graduating from Southeast Polk High School in 1985 and later earning a degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa in 1989.
