Nick Melvoin is a distinguished educator and policy advocate with a robust academic background and extensive experience in educational leadership. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University, a Master's in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a JD from New York University. Melvoin began his career as a teacher at the Los Angeles Unified School District, where he later served as a Board Member for District 4. He has held roles as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Loyola Marymount University and worked as a Legal Clerk at the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California. Additionally, he has been a Lead Teacher Organizing Consultant at Teach Plus, an Advocacy Consultant at Educators 4 Excellence, and served as Director of Policy, Communications, and Associate Counsel at Great Public Schools Los Angeles.
