Ministério da Igualdade Racial, or the Ministry of Racial Equality, was a governmental organization in Brazil aimed at promoting racial equality and combating racial discrimination. Established in 2003, it was tasked with formulating and coordinating policies and guidelines for the promotion of racial equality, with a particular focus on the black population, indigenous communities, and other racial and ethnic groups. This entity was responsible for the implementation of public policies to repair historical inequalities that affected ethnic-racial groups in Brazilian society, primarily through the promotion and enforcement of legislation. In 2015, it was integrated into the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights.
