Michael Scott McKay, OAM, commonly known as Mike McKay, is a renowned Australian rower celebrated for his exceptional achievements in the sport. He is a four-time world champion and a four-time Olympic medallist, showcasing his prowess on the international stage. McKay also clinched a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, further cementing his legacy in rowing. From 1990 to 1998, he was an integral member of Australia's esteemed coxless four crew, famously known as the Oarsome Foursome, which dominated the rowing world in the 1990s. In addition to his rowing career, McKay served as a Maryland State Delegate for the 1C District in the Maryland House of Delegates, reflecting his diverse interests and capabilities beyond athletics.
