Miguel Zuniga is a Council Member for District 3 of the Kyle City Council, serving a term from November 2022 to November 2025. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Texas State University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, with additional postdoctoral experience at UTSouthwestern Medical Center. uniga has over 20 years of experience in research and development, working in both private and non-profit sectors, including start-ups. He is actively involved in the community, serving as a Scientific Educator and Leader, Executive Board Secretary and Parliamentarian at Simon MS, and participating in the Kyle Police Citizens Academy. He is also a volunteer for Hays CISD and an advocate for public safety and the Waterleaf Wastewater Treatment Plant.
