Matthew McQueen is an American politician and attorney, currently serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 50th district, which includes parts of Torrance County. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, he has been in office since 2014. McQueen's educational background is extensive; he holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Williams College, a Master's in Natural Resource Policy, and a JD from the University of Michigan, as well as an MBA from the University of New Mexico. His career includes roles such as Director of Land Conservation and General Counsel at the Taos Land Trust, Attorney at the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer, and Director of Conservation Programs at the Santa Fe Conservation Trust.
