Margarita Garcia was sworn into the STISD board of directors in November 2014. She has a background in Chemical Engineering and has worked in various roles, including at ConAgra and IBM Mexico. Garcia is committed to ensuring quality education for children in the Rio Grande Valley. She is involved in community service and has been part of the PSJA parent involvement program for 13 years.
