Maggie Toulouse Oliver is an American politician from New Mexico, serving as the 26th Secretary of State of New Mexico from 2016 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously held the position of Bernalillo County Clerk from 2006 to 2016. Toulouse Oliver has built a career marked by her dedication to public service and electoral management. She announced her candidacy for the 2020 U.S. Senate election but later withdrew. Her academic background includes a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico. In addition to her governmental roles, she has worked as a political consultant, an adjunct lecturer at the University of New Mexico, and served as the Southwest Campaign Manager/NM State Campaign Director for the League of Conservation Voters.
