Madeleine Dean Cunnane is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 4th congressional district. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she attended Abington High School before earning a Bachelor's degree from La Salle University and a Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware. A member of the Democratic Party, Dean began her political career in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 153rd district from 2012 to 2018. She was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2019, where she continues to serve. In addition to her political roles, Dean has worked as a lawyer and executive director at Philadelphia Trial Lawyers and as an assistant professor at La Salle University. Her district includes most of Montgomery County and parts of Berks County.
