Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth (born 1969/1970) is an American politician and small business owner currently serving as the alderwoman for the 48th ward in the Chicago City Council. She won the election in 2023. The 48th ward includes most of the Edgewater neighborhood and parts of the Uptown neighborhood1. Manaa-Hoppenworth has lived in the ward for over 20 years. In 2024, Manaa-Hoppenworth was elected as the 48th ward Democratic committeewoman and started the 48th Ward Dems organization.
