John Duncan is an American performance and sound artist known for his innovative work across various platforms, including performance art, installations, contemporary music, video art, and experimental film. His art often features extensive use of recorded sound, incorporating elements like shortwave radio, field recordings, and voice. Duncan's installations serve as existential research, frequently confrontational in nature. He currently resides in Bologna, Italy. Academically, Duncan holds a High School Diploma from Arcadia High School, a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Southern California, and a JD from the University of San Diego. Professionally, he has served as Co-Managing Partner at Duncan Peterson, LLP, a Councilmember in Coronado, and as an attorney at John Duncan, Esq.
