Jay Phillip Obernolte is an accomplished American politician and businessman currently serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 23rd district since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Obernolte has a notable political career, having previously represented the 33rd district in the California State Assembly. He also served as the mayor of Big Bear Lake, California, where he began his political career on the city council. A pioneer in the video game industry, Obernolte is the owner, president, and technical director of FarSight Studios. Academically, he holds a Doctorate in Public Administration from California Baptist University, a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence from UCLA, and a Bachelor's in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech.
