The Government of Kerala, located in the southern region of India, operating under the parliamentary system, is responsible for the governance of the state of Kerala. As per the Constitution of India, it is organized into three branches: the Executive, led by the Governor of Kerala; the Judiciary, embodied by the Kerala High Court; and the Legislative, encompassing two councils—The Kerala Legislative Assembly and the Kerala Legislative Council. The Chief Minister serves as the head of government and is accountable to the Legislative Assembly. Its departments deliver various public services and maintain the basic infrastructure of the state. The government's functioning depends significantly on its administrative divisions, including the 14 districts of Kerala.
