Gerald Lopez has had a notable career in education and public service, particularly within the Northside Independent School District (NISD) in Texas. He served as a trustee for District 2 from 2015 until 2024, when he transitioned to the Alamo Colleges District Board of Trustees. Lopez graduated from Holy Cross High School and later attended Our Lady of the Lake University. Before his tenure on the NISD board, he was involved in local governance as the Chief of Staff for City Councilman Ray Lopez from 2009 to 2017. Additionally, he is a small business owner, which complements his public service background.
