Fine Gael

Fine Gael is a centrist to centre-right and Christian democratic political party in Ireland. Founded in 1933, the party is recognised as one of the two main parties in Irish politics, along with Fianna Fáil. Fine Gael's ideology has a strong emphasis on law and order, free-market economics, and social liberalism. Historically, the party has been at the forefront of several significant political developments, including the creation of the constitution of Ireland. The party has been in the Irish Government for several periods, sometimes as part of a coalition with other parties.
