Federated States of Micronesia State Senate

The Federated States of Micronesia State Senate serves as the upper house in the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia, a bicameral legislative body. It is comprised of representatives from each of the four states that make up the federation: Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, and Yap. Each of these states has an equal number of senators who develop and enact legislation. Senators are responsible for representing their specific state's interests while also considering the welfare of the federation as a whole. The Senate functions primarily as a legislative body, but it also has duties in overseeing the executive branch and contributing to the formation of foreign policy.
