The Federacion Mexicana de Futbol, commonly known as FMF, is the governing body of professional football in Mexico. Established in 1927, the federation oversees all competitive soccer matches in Mexico, including those at both the club level such as the Liga MX, and the national team level. Its mission is to promote, organize, and regulate football in the country. FMF also represents Mexico in international football and is affiliated with global football institutions such as FIFA and the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).
