The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is the legislative body that governs Fairfax County in Virginia. Comprised of ten members representing the county's districts, the Board is responsible for setting local tax policies, approving annual budgets, as well as overseeing the various county programs that enhance quality of life for its residents. The supervisors play an integral role in land use and development planning, ensuring the economic health of the county, and work towards achieving its strategic goals including fostering environmental sustainability, improving transportation, and delivering top-tier education and public safety services.
