Eric Greitens is an American politician, humanitarian, author, and former Navy SEAL. Born and raised in Missouri, he received his Ph.D. from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. Greitens served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the Navy SEALs and his military service earned him several honors, including the Bronze Star. He embarked on a political career and served as the 56th Governor of Missouri from 2017 until his resignation in 2018. Greitens is also known for founding the nonprofit organization The Mission Continues, which helps veterans adjust to life at home through community service.
