Edward Markey is a seasoned American politician and lawyer, currently serving as a U.S. Senator for Massachusetts. He was born on July 11, 1946, in Malden, Massachusetts. Markey is a member of the Democratic Party and has had a long and distinguished career in public service. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and later obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) from Boston College Law School. Before his tenure in the U.S. Senate, which began in 2013, Markey served as a State Representative in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and was a longstanding member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve, showcasing his dedication to serving his country in various capacities.
