Derek Shackelford is an accomplished public figure with a robust educational background and diverse professional experience. He earned an Associate's degree in Art from Frederick Community College, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from George Mason University. Furthering his education in theology, he received both a Master's in Divinity and a Doctorate in Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary. Professionally, Shackelford has served as the CEO of City of Hope and as a pastor at Buckeystown United Methodist Church. His leadership and commitment to community service are evident through his work in both the religious and nonprofit sectors, where he applies his extensive educational background to foster positive change and provide guidance.
