David Salcido serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Northside Independent School District (NISD), representing District 1. He was elected to the board in 2023 for a term that runs through 2027. From 1983 to 1986, he served in the U.S. Army as a Motor Transport Operator Specialist. He is an advocate for finding a cure for blood cancers with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk.
