Darrell O'Quinn is a distinguished figure with a diverse background in both academia and public service. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University, where he also co-chaired the Raptor and Wildlife Rehabilitation Unit. Additionally, he earned a Doctorate in Pathology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Certificate from Leadership Birmingham. Professionally, O'Quinn has served as a Senior Clinical Veterinarian and a Research Associate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is also an active community leader, having served on the Birmingham City Council and as Executive Director of Move I-20/59. Moreover, he has entrepreneurial experience as the owner and operator of Crestwood Produce Co-op and Ultra Local News.
