Congreso de la república del Perú

The Congreso de la República del Perú, or the Congress of the Republic of Peru, is the legislative branch of the Peruvian government. It's a unicameral body, meaning it has only one legislative chamber which is filled by elected representatives serving five-year terms. This institution is charged with making laws, monitoring the government's actions, and representing the interests of Peruvian citizens within the political framework. The Congress meets in Peru's capital, Lima, in a historic building known as the Legislative Palace.
