The Congreso de la Nación Argentina, also known as the Argentine National Congress, is the legislative branch of the country's government. Based in the capital city, Buenos Aires, its establishment dates back to 1852. The congress is bicameral, made up of two houses, namely the Senate, which represents the country's provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and the Chamber of Deputies, which represents the people. These two chambers are responsible for making federal laws, and their decisions play a pivotal role in the functioning of the nation. The beautiful Italian and French style palace wherein the Congress is housed is a notable landmark in Buenos Aires.
