Comune di Trieste

The Comune di Trieste, or Municipality of Trieste, is a public administrative entity located in the northeastern corner of Italy. It is situated in the heart of the autonomous region called Friuli-Venezia Giulia, by the Adriatic Sea. Historically notable for its strategic significance in trade and military, Trieste is predominantly Italian-speaking, but with strong influences of Slovene and German languages due to its geographical location.
