Charles F. Payne is an American politician who has been serving as a Georgia State Senator for the 54th district since January 2017. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Payne is known for his active role in various legislative committees. He is the Vice Chairman of the Senate State and Local Governmental Operations Committee and holds positions as the Ex-Officio of the Senate Public Safety Committee, Secretary of the Senate Finance Committee, and Secretary of the Senate Higher Education and State Institutions and Property Committees. Payne also chairs the Senate Finance Sub-Committee on Ad Valorem Taxes. His educational background includes a high school diploma from Riverdale High School. Professionally, he has experience as a Juvenile Probation/Parole Specialist II, co-founder of Crusaders of Faith and Freedom, and SP-4 in the US Army.
