Chief Minister of Karnataka

The Chief Minister of Karnataka is the highest governing authority in the state of Karnataka in India. As the head of the state government, the Chief Minister is responsible for the implementation of state policies, the functioning of the government departments, as well as represents the state in national forums. Their responsibilities also include proposal of legislations, coordinating activities of various ministries, and taking key decisions for the welfare of the state and its residents. The Chief Minister of Karnataka is selected by the members of Karnataka State Legislative Assembly and holds office for a term of five years, unless they resign or get dismissed before the completion of their term.
